Strong Planet Pilot Program
Strong Planet is an Interactive Strengths Development Program. Designed for grades 6-12 it features fast-paced, clever, yet clearly focused video presentations like the sample you see here. Strong Planet instructs the class right from the screen and the teacher easily facilitates the program through group work and hands-on activities.
Strong Planet leads students to discover the things they really love to do and guides them toward building careers and lives based on those activities. Students are engaged and energized to discover strengths, build character and find careers. Because of this, Strong Planet participants are more prone stay in school.
In addition to teaching kids, the Strong Planet series introduces a new approach to professional development. The program actively shows teachers how to lead strong class discussions, pace interactive lessons and form effective working groups.
Approved pilot schools will receive the materials at no cost. A single teacher can administer the program as a classroom unit or it can serve as a special advisory curriculum. Strong Planet can also be utilized as an elective curriculum or an after school program.
To pilot the program your school must commit at least one teacher and at least ten students to:
A. complete
before and after effectiveness surveys
B. complete all six parts of the program series.

Time spent on the series can vary anywhere from 6 days to 12 weeks. A Strong Planet strengths consultant will help you decide how to best implement this in your school.
By filling out the form you indicate your desire to pilot Strong Planet in your school for the 2010-2011 academic year. A Strong Planet representative will contact you to discuss your participation and answer any questions you might have regarding the program.
